Sharing

Sharing my skills with friends or acquaintances is something I love to do. I’m always happy to lend a hand with their websites or social media or some graphic design work if I have time. Why? Because doing good feels good! Right? And I believe doing nice things for people will always come back around. In the end, I gain a new experience, and maybe learn a new trick to use in the future. So even though I may not get “paid” in traditional terms, I get paid in other ways.

Here are a few friends I have helped out in various ways – from their websites, artwork, social media or writing, check them out:

Terra2Morrow

Terra2Morrow

Terra2Morrow – Terra2Morrow is a single-use plastic pollution solution through education, action and adventure. They specialize in Bamboo products and a portion (or sometimes all) of the sales of these items go back to helping the families in the areas they source the Bamboo. I LOVE to be able to help a good cause. A person can’t go wrong helping out in this way! Helping the environment, aiding a friend, and in the end, helping people in far-off countries who need the help the most. I enjoy writing blog posts for Terra2Morrow, helping them with social media, and I also helped fine-tune their website to start them out right.

If It Brings You Joy

If It Brings You Joy by Ellen Burgan Coaching, LLC – Ellen is a former coworker who has retired from her long-time “day job” and found a niche in life she was passionate about: life coaching. Specifically coaching for women who are finding themselves at a crossroads. Maybe the kids have moved on, or their career has stalled. Maybe they are starting off on a new and unknown path. Ellen has found coaching these women is where she can really help, and so she got certified as a Life Coach. I helped her fine-tune her website a bit, and provided her some guidance with her launch post. Ellen is a long-time blogger and knows what she is doing, so it was great to be able to give her a little extra boost.

Cobalt Aquatics

Cobalt Aquatics is an aquatics company which features a product mix for aquarium keepers from food to electronics. I have known the founders of the company for many years, and found an opportunity to help them load up their YouTube channel. At the time, I did not have much experience with YouTube, so it was valuable time spent on my end. I learned all the ins and outs of loading videos to YouTube, creating thumbnails, descriptions and playlists. In fact, you can see everything I learned in this blog post about YouTube.
